About Alice Birney Waldorf eK-8 School
We are a community of families and teachers with a powerful vision: we believe in developing children’s individual talents, nurturing their creativity, and fostering their knowledge and imagination.  These core values are integrated daily into our school’s broad-based Waldorf curriculum, and include drawing, painting, movement, music, gardening, cooking, woodworking, and handwork. This approach, proven for nearly 100 years worldwide, and 21 years in our unique public school in Sacramento, helps to develop creative, well-rounded youth with a lifelong passion for learning. Tax dollars cover much of our public school’s operating costs. However, our unique specialty classes are supported almost entirely by the Alice Birney Guild, our school’s parent-teacher association and a certified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
